About Teaching Practicum one !!!!
This class has been designed with the purpose of
letting English-teaching students be acquainted with general principles of
young learners’ development, second language acquisition and approaches in
teaching children English as a foreign language.
This course will be divided into three periods.

Period 1:

Early childhood: physical and cognitive
development.

Early childhood: psychosocial
development; middle childhood and physical development
·
Middle childhood: the concrete
operational child.
·
The aggressive student: attention
deficit disorder (ADD).
·
The disruptive student: the gifted
student.

Period 2:
·
Children learning English: planning for
children’ language learning.
·
Learning and reviewing vocabulary.
·
Teaching with songs.
·
Becoming an effective teacher in the
four macro skills.
·
Creating, adapting and evaluating
activities for language learning.
·
Involving children in making an using
resources.

Period 3:
·
Managing pupils’ language learning.
·
How can I be a better language
teacher?

Effective teacher-pupil interaction.
